The time will come...

The time will come

when, with elation,

You will greet yourself arriving
At your own door, in your own mirror

And each will smile at the other's welcome

i solemnly swear...

They met in college.  Fell in love in college.  Moved to the District together...after college.

Of course i had to ask, "How long have you been together?"  7 years.

Hm.  Interesting parallel...
CP and i were together for 7 years before we decided to go to the next level.  Part of me couldn't believe that i'd met my soulmatch so young - I was 23.  And, since neither of us were in a rush to arrive anywhere quickly.  We took our time, traveling, learning and loving each other.

Well, turns out 13 years ago i had indeed met my soulmatch and apparently 7 years ago so had she.

"Love wishes to be known, completely understood and shared"

Meet the bride-to-be.  She's stuuuuuuunning!
Super sweet with a killer smile.

Meet the groom-to-be.  He's not exactly barking up the unfortunate tree...
Killer eyes and super sharp wit.
So what makes a couple who've been together for 7 years want to say, "i solemnly swear?"
The opportunity to be surrounded by family and friends celebrating their love for each other.

Because...
Love wishes to be known,

completely understood

and shared.
Congratulations and the very best of wishes
 to the both of you.

 Until next time...

Click with your heart

Over the years, I've learned the real alchemy of art is when you take your natural gift, hone it into a skill, and create a career that is a true reflection your creative outlet.

Click with your heart is a philosophy that resonates deeply with my creative process.

While shooting with this remarkable family we definitely embarked on an emotional journey.  My eyes swelled with tears as often as the room swelled with laughter.  Add a dash of light and a whole lota love and what you get is magic...

Here are few moments i captured...  Enjoy!

Same people, same time, same date

Every year, for the past fifteen years, we all get together the weekend before Thanksgiving  to celebrate, fellowship and give thanks.  This year was no different.

We traveled from Philly, DC and Queens (he-he-he)...
to celebrate:new labels:mom/dad/husband/wife,congrats J +P, new tattoos,
to fellowship:

babies becoming toddlers,
toddlers becoming little boys
little boys becoming little men.

We gathered.  Laughed, shared, toasted and gave thanks for all that was,
 all that is
and all that is to come.
"We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirement of life, when all that we need to make us really happy is something to be enthusiastic about."
Charles Kingsley
Same people, same time, same date.  See ya next year.

With enthusiasm,
