My images are nostalgic, timeless; inspired by real life possessions you hold onto and pass on: old photos with happy memories attached, special images that get more important with time, family photos with a story and a soul. I’ve always had a special reverence for childhood and the images that go with it – a stuffed animal that becomes a friend for life, a cozy blanket that gets smaller as a child gets bigger – heirlooms.
My photography captures and celebrates these moments; they are old favorites in the making, meant to be cherished for life. These moments honor the individual, and at the very heart, pay tribute to something larger: connections to family and community, to shared life experiences, and ultimately, to love.
