Earth, Tree and Grass = A Lovely Day

During the ceremony the bride, an avid performer and musician, sang 'Lovely Day'.  I was completely unprepared for the simple emotion expressed.  No one present stood a chance, by the time she was finished, there wasn't a dry eye for miles...

Here is a glimpse into their lovely day with lyrics:
When I wake up in the morning,
 love,
and the sun light hurts my eyes...
And something without warning, love,
bears heavy on my mind.
Then I look at you
and the world's alright with me
Just one look at you
and I know it's gonna be -
A lovely day -
lovely day...
lovely day...
lovely day...
lovely day...
When the day that lies ahead of me
 seems impossible to face;
And someone else instead of me
always seems to know the way;
Then I look at you
and

the world's alright with me;
Just one look at you
 and I know it's gonna be -
A lovely day -
lovely day
lovely day...

lovely day

The earth their church,
the tree their altar,
 the grass their chairs.
 And a lovely day it was.

 Until next time.

through and through

Discovering the personality of your child is beautiful an unique gift.
Each day is filled with irreplaceable wonder and joy.
Right before your eyes their character emerges.
There are few things more powerful than:
 discovering the sound of your child's laughter;
the twinkle in their eye when they smile;
their scent becomes the breath of life from which you breathe deeply.
And the love, it's undeniable

you are forever connected;
And with each passing day your life becomes

fuller and richer as you continue the journey that began
because two people met
and fell in love.
The experience of discovering your child is a unique gift that changes you
    through and through.

Until next time,

Welcome Fall

Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart
and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms
or books written in a very foreign language. Don't search for the answers,
which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them.
And the point is to live everything.
Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future,
you will gradually, without even noticing it,
live your way into the answer.

Smile

What is

 the one
thing

 you think of
that
 always

make you

smile?

To have and to hold

I can be a bit flighty.  Alright, i admit it.  At my worst i can be all ideas and no action but at my best well i can swirl, flow, create and inspire ideas that sometimes lead to something...
Keep me.  Protect me.  Share me and I'll live forever...
I had the pleasure of attending a conference yesterday where the speaker had those and other words to say.  And, while he was talking about photographs and their importance to our life, society, and existence.  I'd received the final piece to this blog...
Keep me. Protect me. Share me and I'll live forever...

Keep me:

She had the most beautiful brown eyes;

 so clear and intelligent;
He was all personality and, um... opinions;)
Super cute and very charming ;
Protect me:
it's hard to believe our hands
were ever sooo small;

their need for our guidance
  as strong and sure
 as their grasp;
 Big sister takes her role very seriously;
little brother doesn't mind;
they actually lean on each other.
Share me:

 the bond of brother/sisterhood

is the sweetest gift a child can give to a parent
to have and to hold.

and the love that created them will live forever...

Until next time...
